Latest Advances Ultroid is a non-surgical choice for treatment of hemorrhoids. It is a non-invasive procedure performed in the doctor’s office that requires no anesthesia or surgery. Dr. Carter was trained last year on the Holmium Laser Procedure (HoLAP) from Boston Scientific for treatment of the prostate, and the patients are very pleased with the results! He can also use this laser on ureteral calculi. He also received training on the newest pubo-vaginal sling procedure, the Mini-ARC, as well as the Perigee cystocele repair (using AMS products). These female patients are also exceptionally pleased with the results. A urologist is a physician who has been trained to treat disorders of the male and female urinary tract (bladder, ureter, kidney, and urethra) and the male reproductive system.
